See what’s new at the 2014 Adair County Fair

GREENFIELD — The Adair County Fair Board will be charging gate admission all five days of the Adair County Fair this year starting July 16.

Cost is:

• Adults - $6 a day or $25 for a five-day wristband;

• Kids (ages 5-10) $3 a day or $10 for a five-day wristband.

The fair board provides a complimentary five-day wristband to each 4-H and FFA county fair exhibitor.

Discovery, summer program participants and FFA members without livestock or crops projects who exhibit only in the 4-H and FFA Center will also receive a complimentary five-day wristband. Complimentary wristbands are available at the Adair County Extension office and must be picked up by July 14.

Wristbands may also be purchased at the Extension office.

The BBQ July 16 will be free with paid gate admission.

All livestock (not poultry or rabbits) may enter the fairgrounds any time after 6 a.m. and must be stalled by 2 p.m. July 16.

Judging in the 4-H/FFA Center is also scheduled for July 16 with the 4-H/FFA Center open for viewing 6 to 8 p.m.

The 4-H/FFA Adair County Fair dog show will be held 3 p.m. July 16 on the east side of the old 4-H building.

Obedience classes and showmanship will be judged by Deb Owens of Luther and Ashley Kinkade of Ames.

Dog agility trials are scheduled for 11 a.m. July 20 at the east end of the fairgrounds courtyard.

Poultry and rabbits must be entered between 8 and 10 a.m. July 17.
