Kirkwood Community College

CEDAR RAPIDS — Kirkwood Community College has released its dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. These students have achieved a 3.3 grade point average or higher after completing 12 or more credit hours with the college.

Central College

PELLA — Jill Johnson of Creston presented during Undergraduate Scholarship Celebration Day held May 8 at Central College. The event provided more than 130 students with the opportunity to showcase their research and projects in a variety of disciplines.

Johnson, class of 2014, an athletic training student, gave a presentation titled “The Burden of Dementia in China.”

AMES — The Iowa State University College of Human Sciences and its academic departments offered more than $800,000 in scholarships to students for the 2014-2015 academic year.
