Midsummer break

CORNING — There was not any racing action at ACS on July 19 as the track took a midsummer break to allow local race fans to attend the Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., or one of the many county fairs going on in southwest Iowa.

Racing will resume on July 26 with Petersen Tire night and a full schedule of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action.

Gates opoen at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing beginning at 7 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for high school and junior high students and $2 for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Preschool children are admitted free.
