Ray Houck, 59, of Corning died July 30, 2014, at his home near Corning.

Services will be 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church in Corning. The Rev. Ken Rummer and Larry Johnson will officiate. Private burial will be Tuesday in Oakland Cemetery in Quincy. Open visitation will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. Raphael Allan Houck, son of Mary Cecelia (Quinn) and Clifford Earl Houck, was born Nov. 28, 1954, in Corning.

Ray attended country school in Adams County and graduated from Corning High School in 1972.

On Aug. 29, 1985, Ray married Jan Criswell in Las Vegas, Nev.

Ray was a grain and livestock farmer all of his life.

Ray is survived by his wife Jan of Corning; children, James Joseph Houck of Corning, Jennifer Ray Houck of Rippey, Jeremy Houck of Corning and Jana Criswell-Brown of Greenfield; sister-in-law Phyllis Houck of Corning; and niece Joni Houck of Des Moines.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brother Norvell Houck and nephew Jeff Houck.
