With the first day of school creeping up, Monday is designated for Creston School District registration.
Registration is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Creston elementary and middle schools.
“People can just come in the main entry and they will be directed from there,” said Creston Superintendent Steve McDermott.
The first day of school for Creston students is Aug. 20.
According to Callie Anderson, principal of Early Childhood Center through second grade, all registration needs will be in one location for easy access and less hassle.
“You don’t have to run from building to building, which is really why we did it,” Anderson said. “They can come and update their student records and pay their registration fees.”
The transportation director, nurse, food service employees, counselors and administrators will also be at the schools for any questions.
Creston Booster Club will also be at registration with fall merchandise for sale, and activities department staff will have activity tickets available for purchase.
“We really wanted to make it user friendly for our families,” Anderson said. “We tried to streamline it for everybody, so they only had to make one stop if they had multiple children, or multiple people to speak with.”
If parents are unable to make Monday’s registration, they can go to each school where they have a child enrolled and register them individually.
