Richard Leroy Reeve, 65, 844 Quiet Harbor, was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn after an accident 7:09 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of West Adams Street and North Sumner Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, Reeve, driving a 2003 Chevrolet north on North Sumner, attempted a left turn onto West Adams, did not see a 1999 GMC driven south on North Sumner by Allison Aufdenberg, 18, 1501 W. Townline St., and drove into Aufdenberg’s path. Reeve said there was another car traveling south and turning east on West Adams, and he didn’t see Aufdenberg’s vehicle.

Damage estimates are $2,500 to Reeve’s vehicle and $1,000 to Aufdenberg’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 4:26 p.m. Wednesday in Afton.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Debbie Louise Sterling, 56, of Tingley, driving a 1997 Mercury, was in her vehicle to leave a driveway at 408 S. Browning St., backed up and struck a 2011 Chevrolet driven by Melissa Jane Amos, 53, of Afton. Sterling did not know Amos had pulled into the driveway.

Damage estimates are $250 to Sterling’s vehicle and $1,000 to Amos’ vehicle.
