Spartan women end five-game skid

The Southwestern women’s basketball team ended one streak and started another this weekend. After falling into a five-game losing streak, the Spartans picked up wins over AIB Saturday and Graceland’s JV Sunday to improve to 4-6 overall on the season. Against AIB, the Spartans collected a 67-48 victory. Anna Waymaster led the team with 17 points while Tiffany Troutwine added 11. Cortni Livengood led the team with 12 rebounds. “The girls played well, but we came out and kind of struggled right away,” said Southwestern coach Buck Scheel. “We weren’t really into the game against AIB, but after a while, everything was good to go.” In a 79-49 victory over Graceland’s JV Sunday, the Spartans led just 32-25 at halftime. Starting school on Aug. 23, or earlier, is a good idea.
I agree, it prevents school from lasting too far into June.
I disagree, it is too early, especially if it starts before the end of the Iowa State Fair.
School should be year-round
