Second half propels Iowa Lakes past SWCC women

Iowa Lakes outscored Southwestern 38-25 in the second half as the Spartan women’s basketball team fell by a 74-53 score. “In the second half, we struggled offensively,” said Southwestern coach Buck Scheel. “We allowed a couple of their girls to get hot and knock down some shots.” CeCe Wright led the Spartans (4-20 overall, 1-11 ICCAC) with 24 points. In the loss, Southwestern was hurt by 31 turnovers. Up next for Southwestern is a road game at DMACC on Wednesday.
