STATE CENTER — Sophomore Scott VanAhn of Osceola shot an 81 and Doug North had an 86 to lead Southwestern Community College in the Marshalltown men’s invitational meet Tuesday. The Spartans shot a 358 for seventh place in the event. Jake Boyd shot a season-best 93 for the Spartans. Southwestern competes in the Region XI tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Fort Dodge County Club. Marshalltown Men’s Invitational At State Center Team scoring — 1. Kirkwood 293; 2.
