Four make IHSBCA All-State teams

DES MOINES — One Creston player and three Lenox baseball players were selected to the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State teams released today.
In Class 3A, Creston’s Kalab Evans was selected to the first team at the catcher position. Evans led the Panthers with a .432 batting averaged while collecting 37 RBIs. He also collected 20 extra base hits, including 10 home runs.
In Class 1A, Lenox produced three all-state players in Tyler Peterson, Seth Robinson and Trey Christensen.
Peterson was named to the first team as a catcher. He ended the 2008 season hitting .386 with 28 RBIs. Peterson had the most extra base hits on the Lenox team with 19.
For Robinson, he was also named to the first team, but in the utility position. Robinson collected a .541 batting average this year while adding 36 RBIs. The senior was also 11-2 on the mound this year.
Christensen was named to the second team at second base. The senior ended the year with a .342 batting average and collected 23 RBIs.
