Iowa takes on BC in Challenge

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa (6-1) will wrap up their first extended trip away from Iowa City at Boston College (4-2) Tuesday night in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Eagles are 3-0 at home this season, and Iowa will be playing its first true road game against a BCS-conference opponent. “They’re going to attack you as much as they can deep within the basket,” Lickliter said. “They’re a physical team, they pass well, they have a terrific point guard and they go to the glass extremely hard.” Boston College is arguably Iowa’s toughest challenge left in non-conference play. The Hawkeyes play four of their five at home — hosting Northern Iowa and Iowa while playing Drake in Des Moines — before they open Big Ten play at Ohio State on New Year’s Eve. What Lickliter is looking for over the next month, above all else, is improvement. Iowa showed the kind of progress he’s looking for in bouncing back to beat Kansas State. “I do think that there was an opportunity to grow, and I think our guys seized that opportunity,” Lickliter said.

Starting school on Aug. 23, or earlier, is a good idea.
I agree, it prevents school from lasting too far into June.
I disagree, it is too early, especially if it starts before the end of the Iowa State Fair.
School should be year-round
