Glen Alan Hostetler, 12 days old, of Creston, died June 25, 2009.

Services were held Sunday, June 28 at Lorimor Community Building. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Powers Funeral Home, junction of Highways 34 and 25, in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made left at www.powersfh.com.

Glen Alan Hostetler, son of Sharla and Gerald Hostetler, was born June 13, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Survivors include his parents, Sharla and Gerald Hostetler and brother Grant Hostetler, all of Creston; grandparents, Roger and Elaine Hostetler of Afton and Ron and Shirley Kauffman of Creston; great-grandparents, Robert and Virginia Hostetler of Richland Center, Wis., Kenneth and Emily Kennell of Benson, Ill., Glendon and Beulah Kauffman and Edward and Sadie Headings, all of Lorimor; six uncles; eight aunts and 15 cousins.

DES MOINES — On a fourth-quarter buzzer-beater, the Exira Vikettes defeated Mount Ayr in the Class 1A state championship game March 5 at Wells Fargo Arena. Among those attending the game was Peggy Whitson, NASA chief of astronauts and a Mount Ayr graduate.
