Dominant Panthers send 11 to district

Eleven of Creston/Orient-Macksburg's 14 wrestlers advanced to district competition as the Panthers dominated their first home sectional meet since 1996.

Corning sends 5 on to districts

CORNING — The Corning wrestling team placed third at a Class 1A Sectional Tournament Saturday at home and advanced five wrestlers for districts this weekend at Greenfield. Mount Ayr finished fifth out of seven teams and four Raiders moved on to districts, while East Union placed last and had one wrestler continue his season.

No. 4 Panthers set to host sectionals

Perhaps the most important weekend of the high school wrestling season is here. At sites all across the state, Class 1A and 2A sectional tournaments will be held. The top two individuals at each weight class will be one step closer to a state tournament berth, while the top two teams will also move on to regional duals.
