AMES — Carson Whittington and the Creston/Orient-Macksburg boys golf team won a pair of state championships here Saturday at the Class 3A State Golf Tournament.

CORNING — Creston took an 8-1 in the first two innings in cruising to a 16-2 season-opening victory over Corning's baseball team Monday.
